FreshLid

Reclosable lidding solution designed for fresh produce, snacks and selected chilled food applications.

FreshLid is a reclosable lidding solution developed to combine secure sealing, convenient repeated opening and closing, excellent product visibility and strong shelf appeal.

The solution uses a transparent multi-layer lid construction with an adhesive layer that enables the upper film to be peeled back and resealed after opening. A controlled opening can be created within the lid according to the package size and product requirements, allowing consumers to access part of the contents and close the package again.

FreshLid is particularly suited to fresh produce and other products where visibility, ventilation, convenience and product freshness are important. The solution can be supplied as printed rollstock and is designed for application on PET trays and cups.

Fresh Herbs & Leafy Greens

Reclosable packaging for products such as basil, parsley, dill, mint, spinach and other fresh herbs and leafy vegetables, combining visibility, ventilation and convenient repeated opening.

Fresh Fruit & Produce

Suitable for products such as grapes, strawberries, cherries, cherry tomatoes, peppers and asparagus, where product visibility and freshness are key.

Salads & Deli Spreads

Reclosable lidding for selected chilled products such as fresh salads, guacamole, hummus and tahini spreads, where convenient access and reclosing are important.

Snacks, Nuts & Confectionery

Suitable for nuts, sweets and other products consumed over multiple occasions, allowing convenient opening and reclosing.

MATERIAL & STRUCTURE

FreshLid is based on a transparent PET structure designed for use with PET trays and cups.

The solution combines:

Micro-perforation or larger perforation options according to product requirements

FreshLid is supplied in roll format with eye marks for automated application on compatible packaging equipment.

RECLOSABLE FUNCTIONALITY

FreshLid is designed for repeated opening and closing while maintaining convenient access to the packed product.

When the upper layer is peeled back, a controlled opening is created in the lower film. After removing part of the contents, the upper film can be pressed back into place to reclose the package.

The opening size can be adapted according to the pack dimensions and product application.

FreshLid can be printed to support branding, product information and shelf differentiation while maintaining transparency where product visibility is required.

Printed rollstock enables integration of graphics directly into the lid, reducing the need for additional decorative labels in suitable applications.
